Telesur
Telesur gaat het in de toekomst met veertig procent minder personeel doen, schrijft Parbode in het septembernummer. Opmerkelijk, want je leest hierover niets in de dagbladen. Nog opmerkelijker is dat men met het personeel dat men nu heeft niet in staat is om mij iedere dag te laten bellen. Telesur heeft uitgebreide reclamecampagnes, ook in Parbode, maar het bedrijf kan er maar al te vaak niet voor zorgen dat ik met mijn mobiele telefoon van de ene naar de andere plek in Paramaribo kan bellen. Laat staan naar boiti of het buitenland.
Heel soms krijg je verbinding en tikt de geldmeter bij Telesur, maar is na een paar seconden de verbinding verbroken. Of verstaat degene aan de andere kant jou niet, terwijl je wel voor het gesprek betaalt. Ongetwijfeld is er sprake van een technisch mankement, maar daarover vertelt het bedrijf ons niets. Terwijl ze wel dankzij de consument bestaan. En waar blijven de media? Journalisten zullen toch ook last hebben van de wanprestaties van Telesur? Of krijgen ze zwijggeld (of gratis beltegoed)?
Beloof iemand iets, laat hem of haar daarvoor betalen en lever dan vervolgens niet; dat is volgens het Wetboek van Strafrecht een criminele daad. Voor een bedrijf dat in handen is van de staat geldt dat kennelijk niet. Vierhonderd mensen eruit bij Telesur? Wat mij betreft te weinig! Iedereen eruit en het bedrijf sluiten, is mijn advies. Laat een provider het doen die het kan en de consument betalen voor diensten die wel worden geleverd.
