Wie komend vanuit de Watermolenstraat op de splitsing met de Henck Arronstraat moet wachten bij het verkeerslicht, kijkt uit op een paar pareltjes van monumentale panden. Ze zijn eigendom van het Rooms-Katholieke Bisdom, maar worden verhuurd aan de overheid en consultancyorganisaties. In het meest linkse pand, op de hoek met de Monseigneur Wulfinghstraat, huist tegenwoordig het ministerie van Financiën. Het grote, witte herenhuis torent parmantig boven de verkeersdrukte uit en maakt een verlaten indruk.
